It's to help beginning skateboarders learn to deal with downhill slopes, obviously. They climb the steps, get on their skateboard, and scoot down the short, relatively safe incline. Then the walk up and try again. When they feel comfortable with it, they can graduate to a larger hill.
That's all I got.
It's obviously a wheelchair accessible entry to the same place the stairs go.I believe everything in this world has a purpose but cannot figure what this does....anybody?has a![]()

Maybe Wonder Woman's invisible retirement house is in the background. Super heroes get old too!hahaha funny as there's nothing there.... whether going up the ramp or up the steps.
Seriously....that's a plausible reason if you meant it's a practice ramp for people in wheelchairs, or their attendants, to practice going up a ramp and then taking it down some steps safely...or v.v......
Still seems to me overbuilt for that purpose.
You guys? It is an entrance to Escher Park.
Clearly an Indonesian government financed construction project with the customary (and only) purpose of assuring that everyone involved gets paid.
Actually it is a "lovers' leap" spot for ants. The star-crossed lovers trudge up the ramp, then fling themselves off the top step. But since they have exoskeletons, one "splat" may not be enough. Thus, if necessary they can drag their broken bodies to the next step and try again. If that doesn't work, third time's the charm.
(Yeah, I have a twisted sense of humor. You had to ask?)
Had to look that up Vocalneal...is this the park you mean?....https://www.archdaily.com/789357/escherpark-e2a
