Hi there I'm considering moving to Indo and I'm looking for oppotunities to settle in a community where surfing and yoga are practised. I currently live in pacific coast of costa rica and I'm ready to see other part of the world, meet new people and surf as much as possible. Thanks

Check the option "Second Home Visa" of Indonesia:

Second Home. These applicants must provide a statement of commitment to: (1) deposit at least USD 130,000 in an individual account at an authorized Indonesian bank; or (2) buy apartments worth at least USD 1,000,000

It's not a straight forward process. To move to Indonesia and do activities you mention, you must be eligible for residency in Indonesian territory. Obtaining residency typically involves acquiring a visa that can later be converted into residency, known as ITAS. Some previous posters have already provided examples of possible routes. Other routes include:
  • Second Home Visa, E33 (already mentioned above)
  • Golden Visa: If you want to invest reasonable sum of money or want to establish company in Indonesia, e.g E28A, E28B, E28C, E28D
  • if you have a spouse of an Indonesian citizen, E31A
  • if you have a spouse the holder of ITAS/ITAP who is the residence of Indonesia, E31B
  • Other routes mainly applicable to ex- Indonesian Citizen, Global talents, etc
Given the complexity of the process, it is advisable to seek guidance from an immigration consultant and/or the Indonesian Consulate/Embassy in your current place of residence.

Nias and Mentawai have several high dollar surf resorts that might want to offer yoga to their guests though.
