North Korea firing missiles into the sea...

It seems Mr Pudgy wants to test an H-bomb in the pacific, he really is round the bend now

and Mr Orange has just put sanctions on the USA banking of any companies doing certain business with NK.

I hope Kim does explode another bomb and maybe get the Chinese off the fence and recognize their position.
Do they really want to be isolated from the world's nations AND have a rogue nation on their border with an H-bomb.....or go with the world's nations by isolating North Korea AND de-nuclearizing the Peninsula.

Kim is following a path blazed by China in the 60's with their demonstration that they had successfully coupled hydrogen bomb technology with an airborne delivery system.

Be careful what you wish for!!! With these mad men at odds with each other it is very possible that Kim will follow through with the H Bomb threat in the pacific. That in turn could result in conflict particularly if the missile flight path is over Japan.

I think the world is at a point similar to the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 1960's. The main difference then was that the US and the USSR were led by men who were eventually prepared to negotiate. I see no sign of Kim and Trump having any of the negotiation traits of President's Kennedy and Khrushchev.

United Nations, which was designed to be the bulwark to maintain world peace after the holocaust of both East and West World Wars, recently heard Trump say 'Kim will commit suicide'. The NK Foreign Minister responded with 'Trump will commit suicide'.

Therein lies the answer........and United Nations triumphs.

I think the two of these yapping buffoons should just be chucked in a ring together for a spot of sumo wrestling. They can sort out their differences in there instead of all this childish bickering - which is all done just to draw attention to themselves.

Suicide that takes a good share of each nation's populace along with the protagonists is the most likely scenario, unfortunately.

Really...better tell the current Japanese Prime Minister because that's exactly his manifesto.
His position is... if Japan just accepts USA alliance it may not be suffice to protect its citizens. Since President Trump took office, 'America First' may be a clarion call for the domestic market but many allied countries are now reviewing their own security, including EU.
Trump opening the Pandora's box of Japanese militarism, along of the willingness of Abe to seize the opportunity, pretty confirms the strategy as ill advised.

Ill advised or not PM Abe has just dissolved Japan's Parliament and called for an election a year earlier than needed. He clearly feels his mandate to re-arm Japan, to have an independent defence instead of reliance on allies, has some traction with the Japanese voters.
I hope the Chinese are paying attention.

Heard some interesting news at work that Indonesia has frozen their diplomatic relations with North Korea and other countries are doing the same.

I don't know how much this specifically affects Indonesia, but it's becoming more and more clear the US is trying to force everyone to choose a side and totally disassociate from the other side. Primarily aimed at China, of course.

International airspace is well below the 550kms high that the missile flies. It is at max 160kms. The lowest satellite orbit is at around 300 km, which is twice as high as even the highest vertical boundary, so satellites don’t come into conflict with sovereign airspace.
