Hi,

If I am still a KITAS holder (spouse sponsored) is it possible for me to get a KK for myself? Or I should wait until I am a KITAP holder already.

If I can already get KK, what is the procedure and requirements for this? Thanks!

In addtion, does anyone ever experienced a wrong address in their SKTT? I got my SKTT last week but I just saw the address is wrong. They put my address in my home country. What can I do to correct it? Thanks!

You need a KITAP to be added to KK, then get KTP-OA.

The SKTT should reflect your current address in Indonesia, it is after all an Indonesian ID. You should inquire at your local Catatan Sipil for the procedure to fix this. It likely involves all the steps for obtaining SKTT.

I’ve read that you can get your own separate KK if in case the dukcapil cannot add you to your spouse’s KK. If the separate KK, should it be KITAP as well and not KITAS?

Having a separate KK is silly, because it defeats the purpose of having a "family card". When you get your KITAP, you can get KK, where you will be listed along with your family.

SKTT is not sufficient for KK.

Silly or not, some years ago the KITAP holder got his/her own KK, independent from the family.

Btw, they told us a foreigner (WNA) is not allowed to be the head of the house-hold (Kepala Keluarga) and be mentioned first on a KK. Only an Indonesian (WNI) can be the Kepala Keluarga on the KK. And that lead to the result that a WNA could only appear on a KK where a WNI was the family head. So a WNI had to be present on that address.

You're correct when I recieved my KITAP back in 2012 I got my own KK and my wife had a seperate one with her as the Kepala Keluarga. On a side note back when they still had fiscal at the airport, the fiscal office at first refused to waive my fiscal as I had no NPWP and they said my wife's did not count as a women could not be Kepala Keluarga. This was before we had two KK but still funny how one entity can refuse to recognize a women's right to be Kepala Keluarga while another part of the same government refuses to recognize a foreign man's right and would rather issue two KK to the same family.

Yep, separate KK for KITAP holder. You can only be added to a family KK after you become a citizen.
