Hi

[Mas Mana]

I had the same handle on "that other forum", like many here. But as I was inactive there for years now, this new start here suits me fine.
I am currently not living in Indonesia, but have been before and am planning to do so again in the not-so-distant future. So it is time to brush up on some practical knowledge before that - and I am happy to have found my way here for it.
As an Indonesianist by training, I will try to contribute to this forum more actively than on the last one.

Hi Mas Mana,

Welcome to the forum,
Yes, I remember you from the other forum. You last posted a few years ago if I am not wrong and your work had something to do with teaching or anything related to language. It's a bit confused in my memory but I shouldn't be far. Apologies if it isn't the case.

We are glad that you've managed to find us. I am pretty sure that you will appreciate the forum atmosphere.
Cheers,
O.

Hi Atlantis,
you remember correctly, after all those years. At that time I was involved in teaching Indonesian at a German uni and doing research in Indonesian language planning. My focus has changed only slightly since then, I am currently working in translation and literature projects.
Salam,
J.
