So what does this mean for the 546 foreigners? If they followed what they thought was the law, are they in trouble now? Can they correct the mistake without penalty? Everyone was told that everything was going online, and to get new visa's and such to not go to the immigration offices. If this is a problem, isn't it the Immigration's fault?Seems investigations of the new Online E=Visa system have exposed 546 foreigners with suspect visa's and 246 agents who had there licence's previously revoked/cancelled . If they were honest mistakes it shouldn't be a problem but if they've knowingly used unlicensed agents or suspect sponsors to get there visa's I don't like there chances of not being fined or having there Visa's cancelled and being deported . Maybe the online system was implemented as a way of finding them and the unlicensed agents .So what does this mean for the 546 foreigners? For what reason would a person go with unlicensed agents? pay a lower price, Their illegal in the country? I'm just too naive for this stuff! I've always kept it up and up when dealing with immigration over the years. I've seen on here that people usually with an Indonesian Wife, go to immigration and get their permits for much cheaper than what I pay. Well I don't have the Indo Wife, and started using my agent many years ago to renew my Social Budaya visa. He has been an agent for many, many years and has good connections with Immigration. So I bite the bullet and use him and pay much more, but with no hassle at all!If they were honest mistakes it shouldn't be a problem but if they've knowingly used unlicensed agents or suspect sponsors to get there visa's I don't like there chances of not being fined or having there Visa's cancelled and being deported . Yeah illegal but still operating everywhere . Wouldn't be surprised if 2/3rds of the 546 are these young people living/working everywhere throughout Indonesia as Media creators etc . And the 246 unlicensed agents are the ones getting them visa's through backdoor deals .For what reason would a person go with unlicensed agents? pay a lower price, Their illegal in the country? I just never want to have any problems wit.h immigration and create a problem that could affect my coming and going to and from Indonesia.
But hey, look at the guy, Andre I believe, he overstayed five years and just got his hands slapped! I would have thought Immigration would ream your ass if someone did this, and be put in jail for a long time, then blacklisted! But no, he just payed a fine and would have to pay a few thousand dollars to come back.
So if he got away with that, then these people shouldn't have much yrouble at all?![]()
OK, but why would they do this? What is they are doing that warrants them to get illegal visa's? And with a bogus agent? Is it because they are working, in Indonesia, when it's illegal for a foreigner to be employed here?Yeah illegal but still operating everywhere .
