Hello Everyone,

One of my greatest pleasures while in Jakarta is racking up copious amounts of pool with my old man. I wanted to start a thread for anything to do with billiards in Jakarta (or anywhere for that matter).

A quick internet search of tempat billiard in Jakarta takes anyone on a bit of a journey to find up to date information. With the help of some members I hope we can get some chats about where to play etc.

Me personally - my go to was Score! in Citos - great staff, live bands on weekends, great tables and a nice location. I was saddened to find out they have closed quite a few years ago.

My go to place is now Q Billiard in Senayan City - best tables in Jakarta (Brusnwick), however the atomoshphere (or lack of) is mostly high school/college students.

Other places I enjoyed back in the day (2009 - 2012) included:
  • Afterhour (Poins Square) - more relaxed feel, with PR girls, fun atmosphere
  • Aphrodite Bar - not really a billiard place but a few tables, place to go to watch AFL
  • Le Forca Pool & Lounge - Classy place with great tables, live band and great atmoshphere (ffs closed
There were a few more that I cannot name and only assume they closed - Mall of Indonesia had one next to the cinema, Mall Artha Gading had a great place (not the bowling alley), even Blok M Plaza had a nifty little one with some cool views.

It seems like PIK hold a few newer places? I'm a bit out of date so any discussion would be great!

Aphro is closed
Blu Martini has 1 table (JW Marriott)
Attica has several (bar inside Bellagio Residence mall)
Some of Fred's places have. Liquid Exchange. Dungeon. Fez. Etc
I think he even has a team.

Dungeon is the best.

Thanks mate! Boggles the mind that so many places close (even before Covid). Dungeon looks really nice, are there quite a few tables?

Billiards is not really the thing for professional expats, more for golf etc
Pool snooker etc is more of a niche who like to sit in smokey dark rooms hugging a warm flat bintang all night oggling teenage waitresses lol

I think quite a few tables 4-6-8 maybe
They have a proper league
Dungeon is the place (Kemang)

hahaha - yeah I have to admit I rarely see many expats in Q billiard etc. But I guess I'm not a professional expat.. Don't get me started on golf, could start a whole new thread. Damai Indah Golf (PIK course) was a second home for me. It's quite disheartening how privileged golf is in Indonesia, or SE Asia in that matter.

I will add Q Billiard at The Breeze in BSD, attached to Brewerkz. They have 6 or 7 tables, modern, clean. The area is also a nice change of pace from Jakarta.

Thanks . I'll have to check that out. Q Billiard seem to be one of the leaders in terms of table/equipment quality.

Will have to remember this. Is there much billiards in Bandung?
Places come and go, but there are at least a few. I'm worried that the ones I name might belong on a "recently closed" list as I haven't actually been into one of them in years. But, I still see new (to me) ones occasionally when driving around town, so they do exist.

There is supposedly another place called Acta, if I'm not mistaken has a pool table? Although it's more of a restaurant/wine place than a pool place.

Attica Bellagio mall, mentioned earlier post #2

Cork and Screw Country club? Never heard of Blackpond or Acta
