That's just it. They are talking everywhere about this person being the first. If that were true they would have brought it into the country with them. Chances are great they got it from a traveler from another country in the facility they worked at making that traveler the first. How about that traveler? Were they not tested?

When they tell people that this poor guy/girl is the first and with the stigma so many put on covid, it could ruin their lives. Reporting be itbfrom medical personnel or news media need to be careful just how they point those fingers.

Not true. There is no business as usual. Tourism closing, half and half lock down. I think my government is the victim of confusing and unclear WHO and CDC guidelines on handling the virus. To survive this pandemic, ones should either open business as usual like USA or Lock down completely like China or Taiwan.

Indonesia does not have enough resources, money and reliable human resources, to apply full lock down and the government too afraid to open business as usual because of international pressure. So here we are… half half policy.. confuse government. Tourism collapses, business half open half close… people are still sick and die while the economy hurt badly.

It is time to make decision.

My guess is its more in line with how the government deals with all issues and problems confronting the country -- in an indecisive, ineffective and corrupt manner.

Handling the Covid problem with a 270 Million.population, spread over a vast territory composed of islands, and at the same time avoiding to crush the economy is not the same as handling the Covid problem in Switzerland or Belgium !
Considering the size of the task, and all the issues that come with being a developping country they are doing rather well IMO.
And as I said they have avoided the panic reaction and hysteria that has marked most "developed" countries.

Also the media doesn't have Covigedon headlines every day since 21 months unlike the Western media who have made it their main business line.

That app isn't "tracking" anything usefull to fight Covigedon, except your shopping / travel habits.
Now, check behind the scene as it very likely was provided by a private company, with a contract.

• who created it ?
• who pays for it ?
• what are the invoicing / billing rule ?
• who collects / monetizes the data ?

Because if I created it, I would make sure to convince the buyer it needs to be put into service everywhere, and make sure to have the maximum daily users, and make my billing system based on the number of daily users.

No matter what the negative, fingers get pointed at another and the owner of the negative will never admit their ownership. If I blmae it to WHO and CDC, I have my reason. It is THEIR JOB to take care this pandemic. To give us guidelines, to educate us, to give us a firm answers with exact proof about this pandemic.

So far, they have not found the origination of the virus, their solutions is a vague, their guidelines are not clear and they have failed to manage the pandemic. Remember, it is THEIR ONLY JOB!

Instead, these very “sophisticated & exclusive” organisation rather than working harder, they easily blamed all their failures to the unvaccinated!

Last news from the very quailified people, most vaccine will not work on omicron. Now what???
