BPJS: new policy

No wonder mothers now are having c-section instead of natural vaginal birth. Babies now are also being fed with highly expensive formulated milk made from cow's milk or goat's milk instead of their mother's breast milk (which is the best really). Once babies are born, doctors/nurses swarm their patients with promotions and educate them what brand of milk is "best" for their baby. I think the government should stop this malpractice.
The ‘formula’ industry here is huge. No pushback whatsoever out of society or from the scientific world.

It is completely normal -well according to tv ads and ‘experts’- to give the children enhanced milk from power till 5 years old. It will increase their IQ, muscular development, hell even their foreign language skills!

If they had truth in advertising laws, there would be no box milk business at all.

When our first child was born and while at the hospital in Australia we were given a "free" tin of Nestles milk formula. My immediate thought was, "how nice." In reality this is a marketing ploy to move the breast feeding mother to formula milk. Natural breast milk is rich with all the nutrients and goodness that will best help the new born baby. This marketing ploy is used worldwide and in developing countries the suggestion is that the modern mother will of course want to ensure a healthy happy baby's growth by using formula milk. In places where the milk is made up with impure water supply the results can be disastrous with diarrhorea and often followed by death.

There are sponsored prenatal classes at one of the nearby hospitals. My ex-wife and I attended them before the birth of our first child. They were sponsored by one of the big baby junk manufacturers. I can't remember if it was J&J or C. Anyway, they gave us a basket of samples of various baby toiletries. Almost all of them were over-scented and the diaper wipes in particular irritated my child's skin. I really don't understand the reasoning for putting so much smelly stuff on babies, creatures with the most wonderful natural scent in the world (and who also happen to have very sensitive skin). You have to hunt around a bit to find unscented things and then sometimes pay more for them. I don't get it.

At the same hospital, we had no less than five nurses and doctors confirm that my ex-wife was going to breastfeed and explain to us that it is the best source of nutrition for infants. I guess it depends on where you go.

The mother will pass on her immune system to the baby.
