As AI gains greater take up it will significantly reduce the number of job opportunities for these university graduates. The discontent that lies at the heart of this phenomena is already leading to thousands of young people massing to demonstrate against the perceived failings of governments to...

Oops! Sorry you did mention the name as Cookie which could easily be changed to Sate if he/she doesn't smarten up.

Very cute puppy. You refer to both her and he. Which is it? And the name? If you are teaching her/he to speak Indonesian you can warn her/he that if she/he does not behave she/he will be sold to a sate vendor.

The American Dream is Becoming Less Probable

The dynamics of this are replicated now in so many countries. In Australia I fear for those young families who have struggled to get together a deposit for a house but then have such high mortgages that both have to work and if one of them loses a job they are in danger of default and losing...

Small Alcohol Consumption May Cause Dementia Too

Not to mention so many people on higher incomes moving to Kentucky fried foods, McDonalds crap that has led the US to be a nation with 40% obesity and heading for diabetes and a host of very unpleasant health issues.

Small Alcohol Consumption May Cause Dementia Too

The following comments might only be understood by Australian followers of Australian rules football. I have no actual evidentiary proof but based on 77 years of following Richmond it is clear to me that Collingwood supporters not only suffer from dementia but have very low IQs and are prone to...

Indonesia & Corruption: a few articles in the past few weeks

Thanks Marcus but Snpark provided a scan of the info. I seem to be living in some kind of Bermuda Triangle of technological mishaps. Just now my VPN would not open. Had to uninstall and reinstall. I lurch from laptop problems to mobile problems, flat batteries and messages such as, "Please try...

Indonesia & Corruption: a few articles in the past few weeks

Thank you. I turned off the VPN but the link would still not open. I use Chrome as the browser so not sure what the problem is But thank you for the above download. One wonders about the outcome. Will this be one of those drawn out cases that kind of dissipates once the media focus has gone...

Indonesia & Corruption: a few articles in the past few weeks

The link would not open. I had been using a VPN and located in Singapore so relocated in Indonesia but still blocked. I then tried to open Jakarta Globe directly but again blocked. Maybe just traffic so I will try again later. Unless it is some kind of cyber security preemptive strike to stop...

During the Vietnamese boat period Australia set up a special team with a light aircraft looking for boats that were about to hit the shore in Malaysia. Malaysia was rejecting the boats and sending them on to Australia so the Australian team would arrive where a boat was putting in to Malaysia...

Indonesia & Corruption: a few articles in the past few weeks

I really enjoyed the Indonesian news on TV today with the press access to the luxury prison area and the Minister saying that they would have an investigation within a week as if he knew nothing about this. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. The first bland explanation that these...

I said I would never buy an EV but...

People who have or are considering buying a Chinese made EV may find this story from today's ABC website interesting about how vulnerable they are to malicious hackers. Apart from physical danger it seems best not to use internal AI communications and mention any personal details...

    How do you guys invest?

Pantaieima does often seem rather intensely didactic but it seems a valid point in this context to have a plan B in case the government were to suddenly widen its range of blocks. As someone not investing, my underlying concern is the vulnerability of banks that caught by corruption within.

[Guide] ITAP / IMK: Moving to self-sponsor after spouse’s death (or divorce)

Almost like undertaking a holy pilgrimage with hazards and distractions along the way. But you cannot attain serenity until you reach the end. Stone the crows. For all the wonders of computer systems and AI it seems everything becomes more confusing and complicated. Good luck with the rest of...

The future and the role of Artificial intelligence.

And putting the same question to Google. Academic studies, such as the surveys conducted by Monash University expert survey, consistently place these leaders at the top for the past 100 years: John Curtin: Led Australia during World War II. He shifted the nation's defense focus to the...
