Same here but quit in 1990. I set a date, St Patrick's Day, and haven't smoked since. I don't suffer from too much of a "reformed villain" attitude but avoid smokers if I can. Now I just have to do the same with alcohol......- Lantern

Returning to UK with Indonesian Wife
How about trying another EU country such as Malta, for example and then hopping from there to the UK at a later date when Maltese paperwork is in order.
