Are you ready for Jokowi-Prabowo 2024?

What form of racism are we discussing then? I asked you to support your claim of Indonesia being one of the most racist countries. Measuring and determining how racist a country is, is quite a challenge. Especially if you want to throw a country's history into the mix. What standards are you...

Are you ready for Jokowi-Prabowo 2024?

I am aware of the existence of racism in Indonesia. But if you say that Indonesia is one of the most racist countries in the world, then I ask you how you determine that. How do you measure that and how do you compare it with other countries? In what order do you place the different types of...

Are you ready for Jokowi-Prabowo 2024?

And they inherited this from the Dutch, right? Anyway, is this just an opinion or do you have any research to back this up?

    A middle East perspective

Still, things could have been so much worse. I read somewhere that the Dutch had the worst colonial system because they are well known racists and apartheid practitioners. Luckily the Palestinians have been under British mandate; they left a good administrative system.

(Non-Native English Teachers Platform) Any non-native English Teacher (with S1 or + in English Teaching) expats on spouse kitas/kitap other than me ?

Quite a few years ago I had a work visa as a teacher of my native language as well as of English. I had agreed this with the institute where I would be working. I ended up teaching little in my native language, but I did teach English.

CIA Front Group Preparing A "Color Revolution" In Indonesia?

It looks to me the OP of the second quote in your post was a bit confused about the use of double negatives also.

    An El Niño year…. 🌞

So your reasons for opposing these plans are economic? Please elaborate on how the higher(*) costs of additional production in Alaska contribute to inflation. The way I see it, if these agricultural companies cannot produce food for a reasonable price, they are not solvent and will simply go...

    An El Niño year…. 🌞

Samoerai's link sheds some light on this. It's a mix, 20 acres up to 640 acres. (An acre is equal to 1/640th of a square mile. Yes, 1/640th.) west of Nenana. When I look at google maps, it doesn't seem there are any people living in that area. Unless you mean Alaskans in general. Exactly! As...

How Indonesian resort island Bali became a refuge for Ukrainians and Russians

You mentioned 'a xenofobic closed border' in a reply to Pantai's post about 'bogus asylum seekers', we are clearly not talking about investors. Poland works hard to help hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees, however they do not accept muslim refugees. This seems to be working out fine for...

How Indonesian resort island Bali became a refuge for Ukrainians and Russians

I can imagine why people will find this undesirable, but just for the sake of it, why wouldn't it work? Poland seems to be doing fine.

Indonesia Delays $20 Billion Climate Plan

A disadvantage of this is that a significant proportion of vehicles (cars, pickups, trucks and buses) that do not meet emission standards belong to people who cannot afford a new vehicle. Enforcing strict emission laws would put these people out of work and it would further widen the gap between...

Gardening in Indo: suggestions for learning resources

Sounds nice. Is this the garden of the house you were going to build a few months ago? Do you have a tap in front to water the lawn and your plants? We used to have a lawn, nice and green. The type of grass we planted was rumput jepang. This type of grass handles spells of drought pretty well...

Trump Indicted for Conspiracy To Change the 2020 Election

If a different group of people would strive against police brutality against white men, would you say that this group is 'basically good' also? Still, I can't wrap my head around their demand for defunding the police departments and thereby forcing them to slash their budgets. And I don't...

Trump Indicted for Conspiracy To Change the 2020 Election

These geniuses called for a national defunding of the police. 60% is still very high imo.
