No sure why you would listen to AI about something this important. It's not like the process is etched in stone anyway. Each office may do something differently. Most offices certainly aren't going to actually do it for you. So it sounds like you are at least on top with that one.- Hawk256

In all fairness, the Mulslims that I spend time with are not poor and would probably be considered well off. Maybe that skews my perspective. Still doesn't account for ebooks or internet study though.- Hawk256

How ofter to you observe Muslims in their home relaxing? Most I know have shelfs full of books. There is also this new fangled thing called ebooks. Not sure why you choose to pick on a certain religion but it gets old quick. You are very offensive and for what?- Hawk256

It was actually 1,500 years if you don't count the Roman Republic (not all historians do) but not in the same form. Really hard to look at the changes they hade to make and still consider it one empire. Counting the Roman Republic there were 4 very different stages.- Hawk256

People sin in all religions. Surely you know that? Smoking is not like it is a major one at that. I stated that if you question a Muslim (or any religion really) about their habits (haram or not) they answer to God, not you. It could be argued that McDonalds has life threatening side effects as well. Colas, candy, so many things. We need to stop the kids for getting into those habits as well. Fatwa's generally don't revolve around brown envelopes. All Imams I know say smoking is Haram. However the government and religion don't always line up. I know a Muslim that smokes and knows it's Haram, he says it's his sin and it's between him and Allah. Hard to argue that point.- Hawk256

I have always wondered why the Native Americans that smoked pure, home grown tobacco didn't have the rate of smoking illnesses that regular cigarette smokers had. 80-90 year olds smoking like a chimney with relatively clear lungs. The US did that years ago. It didn't directly affect the number of smokers from what I remember. And they are still better than the "ask your doctor" commercials. Most of the time, the side effects are worse that what they are treating. Surely no other countries are allowing that.- Hawk256

They said the same thing with vape flavors but it turns out that older people actually like cinabun flavored vapes more than they like nasty tobacco. My point is that he has done it for years and it was never a problem until someone complained about something else, and then they found this out during investigation. He has been in Indonesia for 30 years. Even if you got some low level approval, that doesn't mean the bosses will agree.- Hawk256

I posted before about someone facing deportation that started with someone making a complaint about him talking bad about the school food program on Facebook. Death Metal Nation: Exploring Indonesia’s Massive Underground Scene
I have never heard death metal on there and I listen to it a lot. Mostly hard rock on Saturdays. Think 80's metal but not just glam. A lot of songs on there there rarely get radio play anymore and didn't get much back in the day. They have a stream you can listen to on the internet.- Hawk256
