Let me dig to find other source... stay tuned.
So, in other words, you just heard that and believed it. Great work, Mr. (Aspring) Geopolitical Analyst.

YouTube was even trying to help you with a warning about your source;

And please use your common sense, Russia proposed the ceasefire, not one soul left the city, why?

BTW, what's wrong with Chinese media? At least, it's not Russian. China is neutral like India, along with 33 other countries.

And don't forget, Atlantis himself told me to "keep digging", to me that's means, keep posting.
That was not exactly what I meant by "keep digging" :ROFLMAO: , but you know it. However you are absolutely right concerning the fact that we have no intention to limit dissenting opinions, as long as they are sustained by reliable verified sources.

In 5 years of existence of this particular forum, the Moderation Team has never sanctioned or banned a user for expressing a dissenting opinion, We won't start now.

Personally I would prefer that posters develop their own opinion rather than they post links, videos, articles with a very limited personal elaboration. This is imho particularly boring and I am pretty certain that many don't waste time to read/watch embedded videos or articles, especially when they are cluttering by dozens a thread.

If the above is a personal wish, one thing is sure: we (the Moderation team) expect debates to be conducted in the respect of others. By this I mean that users debating should attack the argument, NOT the person. We've edited a post above which had an un-acceptable personal attack in it.

Are you serious right now? How is that a source at all? You found some person with 6 subscribers on YouTube posting a video of a TikTok of a Google Translate of a text of unknown origin. You are really digging deep to try and find a Pro-Russia angle, aren't you?

Maybe they wanted to stay and fight for their homes. Maybe some wanted to leave, but for very good reason no one believes Russian assurances of safety for civilians.

State run media in an autocratic state is about the furthest thing from free and open press. It can not be trusted with facts, interpretation, or motive. This shouldn't need to be explained to an aspiring geopolitical analyst.

It's posted by a REAL person with GENUINE concern on what's happening in Mariupol. It was posted 2 hours ago (when I received it), by a person with 6 subscribers who joined YouTube 7 years ago (in 2014) and posted a total of 9 videos including 5 about pets. My instinct says he cannot be a Russian shill or troll or agent.

Are you kidding? No food, no water, no electricity. Do you want to die of hunger? Better take your chances to leave, unless you are ordered not to.

On one side is the Western media, which you cannot completely trust for news about Russia.

So what do you do? You watch the other side as well. Things not reported on the Western media you can find on the other side. But use caution and common sense.

The pressure is on now- which country will be the 1st?
"The U.S. has given the “green light” to NATO countries if they choose to provide fighter jets to Ukraine, one day after President Zelensky made a plea to members of Congress to provide them during a Saturday Zoom call."

So, maybe the reason Israel PM met with Putin 3 hours. Giving pointers? Israel should get everything they deserve for their treatment of the Palistinians. The Middle East nations should all band together and form a coalition and protect the Palistinians. You know, same type of social and religious systems. Of course, the ME nations have done absolutely nothing to help the Palistinians. Won't take refugees or give financial support. They have plenty of space to give the Palistinians room to build a nation. Why not give it to them? Maybe if they started helping others would follow.

Indonesia is a big supporter of the Palistinian cause but you will never see them take up arms to help. Nobody listens to them.

Russia/Soviet Republic has always been an enemy of the US. No good blood there politically. Of course some will argue that trump fixed relationships but let's be honest. All trump ever did was elevate dictators on the world stage. He so wanted to be like them but a crazy American system of government in his view wouldn't let him. Still, he has his mush for brains followers believing his words. Doesn't he? Putin wants to put together the old soviet republic but make it all under russia so they can never break apart again. He's the same age as me and will never in his life time see that. He will have no legacy if doing it, only attempting to do it and failing. When he is gone the world changes. A large chunk of evil will go with him.

Ukraine wants Democracy. Dictators biggest fear is democracy. Ukraine wants to be part of the EU. Russsia knows they can't imvade then. Palistinians want no part of democracy. They want no part of belonging to anything except themselves. The Palistinians biggest problem has always been their leadership.

I guess it is now time to throw out all oppressed nations to make an excuse for russia in comparison.
Ok, go ahead geopolitical wonder boy. Don't forget Thailand under it's military control. Oh, you better mention Myanmar which us dying under the heavy hand if the military in charge. They are both part of Asian. Why hasn't Asian come to their defense? Why expect others to come and help when they themselves won't? The list could be pretty long for geopolitical boy wonders to address. But, since you can't point a finger at the US as the bad guy or russia as the good guy you will probably ignore these areas. The world is a big place and a playground for a real geopolitical anything. You are like the kid that enters a room and on the table is 21 wrapped pieces of candy. You are told to take what you want and you see a big piece in the middle and choose it. The next kid enters and is told the same thing and he take the other 20 pieces. You are so proud that you got the big piece and boast of it. The other kid is happy because he is going to have a bigger total because he is willing to put in the work to unwrap his bounty. The second kid ends up with more candy by 4 times simply because he was willing to do the work. The world is full of candy, choosing just one big one saves time but doesn't represent the world.

The US is asking Poland to supply russian made planes to Ukraine because they are the only planes the Ukrainean pilots know how to fly. The US is telling Poland that for every plane given to Ukraine, the US will replace it with a US built fighter and train the pilots for them. Actually sounds like a good deal since Poland donates used planes and gets new ones.

An important note in that article,
"Poland has been modernizing its aircraft fleet since 2006, when it first started flying F-16s, and in 2020 signed a $4.6 billion deal for 32 F-35s, the first of which will arrive in 2024, making those older Russian-made planes expendable."
So this is merely an acceleration of events already in motion for years.

Imagine if Prabowo wins the next election and one of his first actions is to invade East Timor to "right a historical wrong". There is now a playbook on how to respond to this kind of invasion, and we'd all need to get used to living without iPhones, not being able to leave the country etc.

You mean there is a serious contender to oppose him?

For those who want to keep up with events and not wait for the snail paced large news agencies to catch up, I have quite a few people I follow - some are blue tick journalists and many are on the ground in Ukraine; they all provide their particular view of what is happening there:

Obviously https://twitter.com/nexta_tv - News agency for the region
https://twitter.com/ronzheimer - I think a German journalist
https://twitter.com/strategywoman - an ordinary woman who keeps a journal online of life in the war
https://twitter.com/KyivIndependent - news agency
https://twitter.com/IAPonomarenko - reporter with Kyiv Independent
https://twitter.com/Hromadske - news agency
https://twitter.com/OzKaterji - freelance journalist
https://twitter.com/ChristopherJM - journalist
https://twitter.com/UAWeapons - tries to keep track of weapons lost by Russia to Ukraine forces
https://twitter.com/ZelenskyyUa - Zelensky's official account

By all means add to this list as I haven't got everyone.

I find it very interesting to see what is going on and hear the voices of the ordinary people - the primary sources of what is a major historical & world changing event.
edit: live webcam stream from the nuclear power plant:
I have a Ukraine soldier's account that I want to add to my list... https://twitter.com/Shtirlitz53

He does post some really unpleasant stuff BUT then we get nuggets like this...
Playing chequers with Molotov cocktails:

Could it be said that Putin is fighting for the freedom of Donetsk and Lugansk?

Could it be said that Putin is fighting for the freedom of Donetsk and Lugansk?

It could be at a very long stretch of the imagination...,
if that was the only report re the terms, I guess.
However, there are other, fuller reports out there... from reputable sources.
They don't state that they will leave UA,
They don't state that they will not start fighting again.
They allegedly stated that Zelensk(i?)y would be just some sort of nominal president & that they would install Boiko as PM
They also demanded that UA did not join any 'bloc'(so no to EU/no to NATO etc)One could also argue that they are also getting the shit kicked out of them and they probably want their miilion & millions of $$ worth of equipment back.
There is a whole lot more to it than Donetsk & Lugansk
They also state that the proposal was rejected - (quite possibly in the 2 word term F/Off , no? haha)

@Dave70 About that supposed evacuation route...

Thanks for the information.

From the article, "The evacuation route from Mariupol was mined. That's according to Dominik Stillhart, director of operations for the International Committee of the Red Cross.".

Just thinking; How did ICRC knew it? Did the Ukrainian government informed him about it? Is the information provided by the National Guard unit in Mariupol? Which unit is based there (it's the Azov Battalion!)? Who mined the route (the Russians or the neo-Nazis)? If the Russians knew the route is mined, are they enjoying the international condemnation?

This is a really interesting thread in Twitter- the guy who posted it says he translated a 2000 word document from someone in the FSB:

The ICRC knew it because they are the ones coordinating the humanitarian corridors. Geesh.

Master Card and Visa are telling Russians abroad they have until March 9th to witdraw and money using their cards.
