Quarantine Confusion

I love how one of the 19 countries is .... Liechtenstein (pop. 37,000), and then Switzerland is not on the list. Then they have Hungary but not Germany, and also Sweden but not Finland.
Maybe the person making the list hasn't heard of any of these countries and just picked them at random?

[also there is no airport in Liechtenstein, you have to go to Zurich in Switzerland, which is not on the list, so how would that work :ohwell:]

That's not true. 19 countries can now come as tourists / voa etc.

Hmm...I missed this then. Do you have a link to a reference? The latest Permen from Sept'21 still says no Visa-Free or VoA, and the latest KepMen says you can apply for B221A visa under the Tourism category, which was previously not available.

It's now October 14 fyi
I posted one link
Specifically says tourism tourists e.g. voa

Other countries need B211
I know this because I already have clients landed from other countries on a business visa

The 19 mentioned can use a voa tourist visa for entry into bali. But of course no flights to bali at the moment for most of those countries

Of course none of them have direct flights to Bali anyway lol
And still need to do 5 days quarantine which will NOT be on a low level floor so you can jump over the balcony for midnight swim.

Will be top floors and heavily secured. Possibly balconies locked even.
The Brits will be a bit "enerved" seeing they didn't make the list, whereas Liechtenstein and Qatar did....

More seriously, the 100 k USD mandatory insurance is not going to help to attract families....

That link doesn't say anything about VoA/visa-free. In fact, it gives other requirements such as US$100k health insurance and proof of quarantine hotel booking. All of which are usually vetted during a visa application process. Until there is a PerMen saying that VoA/visa-free is re-opened, there is no way to assume that it has.

It seems the countries selected are based on WHO transmission criteria, so independent on whether they actually have flights to Bali or even Indonesia. Also, this applies to direct flights only, according to Pak Luhut. Of the 19 countries, I think only UAE, NZ, Qatar, China, India, Japan, SK, and maybe France ever had direct flights to Indonesia.

I have a German, Moroccan and Iraqi client all arrived this week in quarantine safely. Flying from their home countries. All on B211 visa

As I said, those 19 listed are allowed to enter on tourist visa.
For social B211 etc anyone can enter
But for "tourism" those 19 can come in on tourist visa. VOA etc paying $35 or not directly at airport

I don't believe this to be the case.

See this article: https://nasional.kompas.com/read/20...semua-wna-masuk-indonesia-wajib-memiliki-visa

"Indonesia telah menghentikan fasilitas bebas visa dan visa on arrival, sehingga seluruh WNA yang akan masuk Indonesia wajib memiliki visa," ujar Angga kepada Kompas.com, Jumat (15/10/2021).

Well facts are facts whether you believe it or not

Btw waiting for all these planes to come to bali and then return empty

Who is leaving bali to go to Poland or Liechtenstein?

Perhaps you missed that Tourism has been added to the B211 purposes in the past week. Those 19 countries are permitted to enter as tourists, but it seems to still be under the B211 visa applied for in advance, with sponsor, and proof of vaccination, insurance, etc. I have read all the Surat Edaran as well as many news articles and have seen absolutely nothing about VOA or Visa-Free as part of the 19 country tourism scheme.

You clearly are confused about what visas are currently available.

Tourism is just one of the categories now once again allowed for B211 visas. All the mentions of tourist visas currently mean B211A for the purpose of tourism. Citizens of the 19 countries listed can apply for B211A for the purpose of tourism. There are other purposes for B211A visa (business, emergency work, etc), which everyone can apply for. But Tourist Visa = a B211 visa.

Tourist Visa = You apply online, pay the fee, and provide all necessary documents. You then get an approval e-mail. Currently available to 19 countries listed.

Visa-Free = You show up at the border and are allowed to visit for 30 days (Currently not available).

VoA = You show up at the border, pay a fee, and are allowed to visit for 30 days, extendable for another 30 days (Currently not available).

No but citizens pick and choose whether to get vaccinated and thus bring their country down to a low risk percentage and therefore more welcome to other countries. Which is why even you as Indonesian still needs to quarantine and be fully vaccinated even before you come home. Because you live in USA. Nothing to do with your passport. You could be Nigerian living in Liechtenstein and you can still enter Indonesia now as a tourist. But you living in America cannot. Understand now!?

Initially we hate the idea to be quarantined for 5 days when visit Jakarta. We are fully vaccinated.
However, two days ago, I realize this is not a wrong decision
We live in fully controlled company compound, with approx. 50 expat and more less same numbers of senior local staff in the compound. Our company taking care the covid 19 seriously, providing all means to minimize the exposure including but not limited to provide a private jet transportation and a week self quarantine at our accommodation.
The cheese stick barriers was breached. Even with this strict protocols,3 expats were tested positive at the end of their quarantine, and futher infected another 5 family members .

The good news, except the kids, all of them are fully vaccinated - no serius issues, none of them have to be hospitalised.

I guess it is only tourists that will be asked for proof of insurance, not those of us on a KITAP or KITAS?

"However, he explained the value of US$100,000 is not the premium that foreign tourists must pay but is the maximum coverage value." :ROFLMAO:

If you have a KITAS you are already supposed to have health insurance anyway

Work kitas or spouse kitas? No-one ever asked me for proof of insurance in all my years of applying for spouse kitas and kitap.
